Gwenpool remains absolutely relevant and in prime position for my interest. I continue to look forward to every issue put out and applaud her successful run at remaining an important character in the Marvel universe, totally deserving of her own series! If you enjoy laughing along with your heroes then you really can't go wrong with Gwenpool. If you just enjoy some good, off the wall storytelling I'd still say this is a great option! Jump in and hang on tight as the lovely Gwen takes you for a ride through the fourth wall and beyond! Read Full Review

With this issue, Gwenpool Strikes Back approaches the platonic ideal of meta-fiction. It shines an honest light on the storytelling tropes and tools it employs while also making sure their product is a deeply engaging story in itself. It looks gorgeous, it's thoughtful and compassionate, and most importantly, it's absurdly funny. Read Full Review

Gwenpool Strikes Back #4 may be the second to last issue in this miniseries, but that hasn't slowed Gwen down any. If anything, she seems to be upping the ante in regards to her antics. This issue took her quest for relevancy to a whole new level " and the end result was something as fantastic as it was insane. Read Full Review

Ive struggled with finding the fun in Gwenpool Strikes Back. Now I am the first to admit that I may just not be cool or aware of trends to get past issues, but this issue finally delivered. I found the jokes to be funny, the references to be well explained, and the characterization to fit. While not perfect, I find Gwenpool Strikes Back #4 (Williams, Hastings, Baldeon, Aburtov) to be a coherent and enjoyable read. The plot as a whole I still find to meander. If the concept of the series is Gwens wacky hijinks, then it is hitting the mark. But with one issue to go, Im losing hope for something more. Read Full Review

Not really an essential purchase, but if you are a fan of the character and want to see her doing something different I would recommend. Other people would wonder what is going on and it is certainly not the best point in the series to start reading. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Kellie Keener

Chaos and random humor make Gwenpool a fun character, but these traits need to be used in moderation, or she ends up feeling like a Deadpool knock off that's trying way too hard. At the start of this series, this balance was reached pretty well, but things were skewed along the way. Hopefully, everything is pulled back together for the last issue, or Gwenpool may not get the ongoing series she so desires.  Read Full Review

Well, as someone who has read Gwenpool in all her forms, I can tell you that the descriptions were accurate. I liked this.

This was actually my favourite issue from this series so far. I don't know what switch flipped in my head (maybe so many Gwens?!), but I wasn't dying throughout, which is a big win here.

It is, as it says, yikes. But not quite enough of the endearingly goofy sort of "yikes" it's aiming for. David Baldeón deserves acclaim for copying some distinctive styles for the appropriate Alter-Gwens, particularly GuriHiru and Humberto Ramos.

Someone should just give this creative team a Deadpool book instead. I don't know if they would be happier that way, but I sure would.

A piece of me dies each issue. Not only does the art suck with an incomprehensible plot, but Leah Hastings seems to have not read ANY of Gwenpool's past incarnations (which is ironic as they're all in this issue, each being more likable than this series' main gwenpool). The only reason I'm not scoring this issue lower is because of a single page, written by Unbelievable Gwenpool writer Chris Hastings, which was the only moment in this entire mini that I cracked a smile (though it made me long for the days Hastings wrote Gwenpool even more).
