Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #11

What can I say? Welcome back Mary Jane. It was nice to spend some time with our Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane this week. As I said above, what makes a hero is what you do that makes a difference in someone else's life. It can be as simple as making sure someone is taking care of themself, or showing someone that there is more to their situation than what it looks like on the surface. While I was a bit leery of the whole "I'm the one who takes care of Spider-Man while he takes care of the city" angle, the story stayed away from stereotypes about supportive spouses and gave fans a reminder how great Mary Jane is. Read Full Review

Overall, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #11 is a great showcase of the many facets of Mary Jane Watson, and is a warm issue that nicely matches the tone of the rest of the series. Read Full Review

Peter takes a day-nap after an exhausting troll fight, letting MJ carry the narrative (and handle a troll-fight of her own). It's an excellent one-off adventure that scores all-time great characterization points. A thorough blast. The art isn't quite as great as the writing, but the visuals are a long way from disappointing.
