Jed MacKay and Pasqual Ferry continue their run with the Master of Mystic Arts, and gives us one of the best books currently on the stands. Whether its the tongue in cheek characters like Bats, or Mordo trying to escape the mirror dimension, the book continues to deliver. If youre not reading it, do yourself a favor and pick it up. Doctor Strange #17 is certainly an imaginative way to end this two-part tie-in to Blood Hunt, but imagination unfettered isn't always a good thing. MacKay throws a whopper of a Deus ex machina at the wall to put all the toys back in the Marvel toy box, leaving you feeling impressed with the ballsiness of it and simultaneously let down by the silliness of it. Plot This comic serves as support for the Blood Hunt event, where Doctor Strange is attacked by surprise by Blade, the new leader of the vampire cult Structure, responsible for the sky being covered by a cloud from the dark dimension and in an eternal night the Vampires They attack without mercy. Victor Strange chases Wong and Baron Mordo uses an enchantment to make Bats free them from the room behind the Mirrors of the Sanctum Sanctorum and this Magical version of Bats heals Stephen Strange's body and separates him from Victor. Mordo escapes with the ghost of Victor Strange. Interesting installment that raises the level of tension, mysteries, terror and emotion of the Blood Hunt event and continues to enhance the story of the sup reme sorcerer, the next issue closes this supporting story arc. Art Full of details with lots of lighting, highlighting the workouts and offering well-executed body language, even though everything has a dreary color palette. The Pascual Ferry imprint is striking and unique. Summary Baron Mordo will have to save the day and that means saving Wong more

Really fun issue with decent art and solid writing. I've never been a reader of Dr. Strange, but I've picked up the Blood Hunt issues and have found them enjoyable.

A pretty fun issue with a lot of focus on Bats, which I did like. Once the god of dogs showed up and talked about Bats being his vessel, I knew I was turning the next page to see a big, muscular Bats, but I still couldn't believe what I was seeing when I did, and I mean that in a very good way.
