Defenders #10 isn't the tightest wrap-up to a comic series, but it is an upbeat and still satisfying conclusion. It's not as good as last issue, but it still closes out the book in a distinctly Bendis fashion. Marquez and Ponsor keep the book looking great throughout the finale, and I can easily recommend it. The series started off well enough but due to the cancellation it shortened the lifespan making Marvel have to cram everything into one last issue. A true shame imo because I enjoyed this series for the most part. I wanted more Punisher but it was good having him in as well as Blade and Spider-Man they just didn't do anything really. Decent series if you're still on the Defenders high from Netflix or just want to read a team book. The Iron Fist vs Elektra fight (The FIRST time they've ever met btw) is hands down my favorite moment from this. I'd recommend it anyway but be prepared for the rushed ending. Read Full Review

Hands down one of the most underrated Marvel comics out there, holy cow. Amazing artwork with fight scenes. My favorite is when Iron Fist fights against Diamondback and Elektra. I think this is my second favorite Brian Michael Bendis run, and its so re-readable. Brian Michael bendis works best with street level heroes. Read this if you have time, I highly reccomend it.

You can tell the ending was rushed, but overall a decent ending to a pretty good run. The art throughout this series has been top notch and has been one of Bendis' better recent works.

This issue is an okay ending, but I can't help but think that this series is kind of going out with a whimper. I don't know. This series maybe touched its potential, but it's ending so fast I can't help but think of missed opportunities. This works better as an emotional goodbye to Bendis than as a story. Perhaps I'm also a bit sour because this issue is a reminder of all the top level talent fleeing Marvel right now. Bendis is Bendis and David Marquez is incredible. Sheesh.

Ha! I knew Bendis couldn’t resist writing one last Hood story. Defenders turned out to be a very good series and its a shame it only last 10 issues, but David Marquez was the true mvp of this book.

Series called on account of creator switching publisher horses in mid-stream. A few conclusory scenes put the kibosh on the Hood; the balance of the book is fulsome farewells. The fact that these are both scripted by and directed at Brian Michael Bendis is pretty weird. The art is solid (albeit not David Marquez's best) and there are some good laughs, but it's far more a victory lap than a cohesive storytelling comic.
