While I cant say this was the most exciting or interesting issue of Charles Soules Daredevil, I can say that this comic never left me bored or dissatisfied. Fleshing out Blindspot is a good idea, and this is an engaging story arc. Garneys artwork helps elevate the book, as it is visually stunning. This comic does earn a recommendation in the end, and I do advise that you read it. Read Full Review

The way Soule connected Blindspot origin story to the current story was beautiful and such a joy to read. Genuinely awesome story-telling (and twists) in this issue. Some powerful art from Garney here, he continues to be excellent.

This may've earned a 9 if the art lines were less rushed/scratchy looking. DD's splash page reaction/supposition in the middle was an inspiring moment.

Ron Garney draws China perfectly and immerses you in Matt’s world. Sam is one of the most interesting characters in this book and the parts with all the illegal immigrants are very powerful and have real life applications

Another solid installment in this Daredevil series. Soule is a good writer and they should just never let Garney leave. He totally fits this book and his art is always gorgeous. Overall, a good origin story for Blindspot and leaves our title hero in a big pickle at the end.

With Daredevil captured, Blindspot gives him a comprehensive "how I went good then bad" autobiography. Matt is in a tight spot - and not just because his apprentice knows his secret identity now! This is such a satisfying recap that it just solidifies my belief that the first nine issues of this title are skippable; Blindspot tells you everything you need to know here. Ron Garney's deceptively simple art goes past mere storytelling to make a positive contribution to the issue's mood.
