I really like this issue, but they are on a train made of adamantium (huh?) I thought adamantium was rare and this tidbit isn't even used in the story. Plus if you're doing a fight scene on a train, then there should be parts of it that are outside the train. The end felt extremely abrupt. I'm sorry that it's ending next issue. It's another super-stylish action-heavy chapter, and there are plenty of those lovably sharp one-liners in the dialogue. The character designs are starting to look a little wonky, though, and basic cause-and-effect plot development is hard to follow in the final pages. Smashing straight to the final showdown is confusing. I'd bet that the author originally planned this as a 5-6 issue arc.

Not sure if I should give this a 7.5 or 8. The train battle itself was great (at least getting to the head vampire). However the head vampire battle was quite lame, and Strange just sending Blade right to the final boss battle aka Adana, felt lame and rushed. Honestly between this and the new artist (worse than previous issues), screams that Marvel editors are putting them thumbs on the scale to rush this series/run it into the ground. Bryan Hill is clearly being crippled here by the editors/weak artist partners. If you think about this, besides Hill himself, this run has been sabotaged by a poor colourist in issue 1, a poor artist in issue 4 and editorial/marvel higher ups rushing this/possibly cancelling this on-going series at 5/6 is sues. Such a great series had its wings clipped. This was really a good Blade book. more

I don't know what happened, but we went from my favorite issue of the series so far to my least favorite so far. This one just felt a bit rushed, in my opinion, especially the ending. I feel as though this could have used a few more pages to flesh things out a little better. I did like how Hill wrote Doctor Strange, though.
