You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Feb 21, 2019The Soska sisters bring on the brutality in a second issue that allows Black Widow to be extremely vicious to low-level villain who clearly deserve it in a surreal amplification of the street-level criminal darkness thats actually lurking out there in the real world. The villains have been revealed in this second issue. Now the Soskas have the rest of the series to navigate Black Widow through them in pursuit of justice for young victims like the one she encounters this issue. Read Full Review

Feb 25, 2019This over the top violent issue may not be for everyone, but if you're not the squeamish type, this tale of revenge might be for you. Even though this is not my normal cup of meat, I am having a good time…something that disturbs me just a little. Read Full Review

Feb 26, 2019Still, it's good enough that the writing itself should make up for what exactly I had qualms with that really isn't that big of a deal at all. For me, Black Widow earns a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. I look forward to seeing what Jen and Sylvia and their team do next as my love for one of my favorites rekindles itself. Read Full Review

Liked this more than the first issue. A large part of that is that this comic, despite its dramatic nature, actually represents a vile part of the internet well. There's proof that this type of thing, or a similar variant, exists in some form or another. And after reading things like Ben Percy's Nightwing, where instead of making some sort of cogent point, it just went off the rails into complete nonsense that was cut short due to editorial mandate, I find it a little refreshing that at least they're not doing techno-gentrification and basic bitch technophobia.
