Hampered by weak art,Avengers #28 provides a lot of fan service thrills but is ultimately a filler issue to get from one story chapter to the next. It isn't terrible or unreadable, but almost certainly will be forgotten soon after reading. Read Full Review

This is just a really cool, fun comic. The Three Heralds, Cap vs Brood Thor, Iron Man in the past, Ghost Rider vs Silver Surfer, The War Widow... all this is so much fun. I'm having a great time with this arc.

Jason Aaron weaves different story arcs around perfectly here, and although I still have serious problems with the way he portrays certain character (cough Jen cough Robbie cough), I still feel like he is building to something big. I’m really enjoying this arc actually and Steve wielding Mjornir again was awesome. I’m not a fan of Jen’s new costume, but Natasha’s new War Widow costume is one of the better new costume for any Marvel hero this year. I still don’t like McGuinness art though lol. I’m loving what Aaron is doing with Tony In the past and with the 3 Herald of Galactus. Good comic right here, but this series as a whole would be better off without Jen and Robbie. I mean, seriously, Robbie riding Norrin’s board?

This is one fun story. Loving how grandiose this feels, with the heralds being involved and such.

It was a pretty good read. It did have some corny parts and it also had some good. Worth the read. Arts a little corny as well.

It's goofy fun, edging into "good comic" territory -- just -- thanks to the sense of bigger picture plotting that the Surfer picked up on.
