I'm really liking what Aaron is doing with the characters and how T'Challa is reaching out to other characters. I liked seeing Coulson back in action, though what he did or why he did it, I have no clue. The visuals run from great to better than average. I wish that one artist was responsible for this series' artwork and that the credits properly stated who is responsible for what. The heavy exposition that fills just about every panel turns Avengers #11 into a bit of a chore to read. It does not help that there are several Avengers who are hurt by the dialogue they are given. This issue was a ton of set up and it's all actually interesting. This Avengers run seems big but not in the way that an event feels big. It just feels extremely expansive the way an Avengers comic honestly should be. That's something that was missing from Mark Waid's run on the title, which was such a letdown after Hickman. But this is righting the ship. There's a ton of characters and factions. And I can't wait to explore all of those. And on top of all that, there's still the Avengers BC to explore and The War of the Realms hangs over everything. Jason Aaron is great at this type of thing, if his Thor run is any indication. So I'm excited.

My favourite part of this story is that the Avengers feel *global* again. That's something that I think has been missing for a long time, maybe even since the pre-Bendis days. For a long time, these titles have oscillated between 'street level' or at most nation-level, and intergalactic or even interdimensional level like in Hickman Those both produced plenty of great stories, but they also mean that this international focus feels new and fresh. You can feel that setup for something much bigger is coming, and Aaron has shown with Thor how well he can pull that off.

The Avengers haven't been this classic and this good probably since the Englehart and Roger Stern era. You have the Winter Guard, the Squadron Supreme, Atlantis Attacking, the Black Panther meeting with international heroes. The only weak point for me seems to be the Savage She Hulk angle to She Hulk. I hope Jennifer can go back to being She Hulk all the time, not boring Jennifer no mindless Hulk, bur what the character has always been. The Coulson subplot was chilling.

Aaron does a great job putting things in motion and transitioning between stories. It's a lot of things to juggle but he's successful so far. I would really like what he's hinting at. The art is what keeps me from being 100% in sync with the story. McGuiness and Morales are outstanding in their pages but Smith and his inkers are inconsistant. One page is great and the next is too rushed. I'm just greedy and want McGuiness doing it all.

This book was a good time. It sets the stage for a very interesting future for the Avengers. Marvel is also creating a space for the Squadron Supreme that could have major benefits going forward. Jason Aaron is easily in the top 5 writers over at Marvel right now and what he is doing with Avengers makes it continue to feel like the first book a Marvel fan should read. Aaron continues to understand the intelligence of Black Panther and this introduction of international heroes and what that network could look like is genius. The only thing that has me concerned is how this arc will be finished up before we get to War of the Realms. Pick it up

This issue takes advantage of last issue's absurd amount of action by slowing things down. While this issue is 99% dialogue it's still almost as entertaining as last issue. Basically, it's all character work and development and Aaron excels at that. Avengers 11 continues to let the story develop naturally and has the perfect pace, not to fast or slow.

OVERVIEW Avengers #11 a) Writing/Script= 8.0/10 (Jason Aaron) b) Art= 7.5/10 (Ed McGuinness) c) Colours= 7.0/10 (Erick Arciniega) Average= 7.5/10 It is super exposition heavy issue. The dialogues were literally written in paragraphs. So this issue kind of slows down the momentum that was set up brilliantly in the previous issue. But that was ok. I like how slow this issue moved but at the same time built a very good and high tension. The art by Ed McGuinness is ok but it got derailed by the not so great colours by Erick Arciniega. The colours were still above average though. I am also starting to loose interest on the cartoon-like style of art done by Ed McGuinness. I hope this Avengers series rotates its art crew very often.

While we progress the story, it's only by an inch. We get another issue that we see what the team is up to as they're all doing their own assignment. We get that Coulson has got dark, we see Thor's and she-hulks relationship go further, as well as Black Panther trying to make a U.N. of superheros. While get some foreshadowing with the hulk and going to/ come back from Hell. The art is very good though.
