Well, the Vulture is fine. But I don't like the Tinkerer story. I mean, it IS a nice story and it must be very cool for that time, when this was printed. But knowing what Marvel done with the Tinkerer later... This beginning just seems kinda dissapointing. However, Peter is working on Jonah now and he has a web-belt. I also can't believe, that there was Now magazine before Daily Bugle. Did they retcon it later?

Hummmm... yeah... this one was stranger than I remembered lol. I had fun with the Vulture, with his absurd schemes, and even more absurd police tactics to fit the plot. Old man dressed as a vulture, who has a secret base in an abandoned silo.....I love comics, man. We also have some very interesting developments here, especially with Peter upgrading his webshooters and arsenal. I love that he recognizes the need to improve, and he upgrades accordingly. He needs more webs, so the cartridges have more web fluid. He will need to recharge at some point, and he can't choose the moments, so he now has a belt full of web cartridges. The Tinkerer story, however, if you read this without the future retcons in mind... is just... WOW. A product of more

Okay, now we're getting into the part where young me became more interested. I knew the Vulture! Not my favorite villain, not anyone's favorite villain, but a classic villain. And his debut is filled to the brim with 60s comics nonsense:
The Announcement of the Transfer: This would not happen. No company would announce and make a public spectacle of a transfer of highly sought after commodities like diamonds. Especially not with a crazy, unstoppable winged old man roaming the skies. Vulture's Outside of the Box Thinking: While this is admittedly clever in a "It's so stupid that it must work" sort of way, there is no way that the police wouldn't have a ground presence larger than a few guards. And how did the Vulture know they'd more

"Get me pictures of -- THE VULTURE!" Very dynamic but very wordy. The Vulture's introduction is definitely a few ticks higher than The Tinkerer in quality and managing to keep me awake.
