Overall, Absolute Carnage: Captain Marvel #1 is an average tie-in comic. The story is okay. The art is average at best. For every fun Bad kitty bit of dialogue, theres an off-putting FOMO. If youre collecting everything Absolute Carnage, go ahead and pick it up. For the rest looking for absolute must tie-ins, save your five bucks. Read Full Review

Eh this was pretty inconsequential. The cat is cute I guess, plus .5 for the cat.

Captain Marvel makes some cute wisecracks while battling Carnage for the soul of her cat. I like much of the humor, but watching a hero win an utterly generic "pluck plus random zappy powers" victory isn't satisfying. Also, while individual panels of the art were great, the different inking approaches clashed hard.

Prelude: Another tie-in to Absolute Carnage on the week it ends. Great. The Good: Let's cut to the chase and say nothing. The Bad: There is no point to this story. It's boring. Conclusion: As you would expect, it's a boring issue that contributes nothing to the event whatsoever.
