You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Dec 21, 2024Remenders framing of the drama appropriately amplifies everything. It might feel a bit strange in places, but it manages to make its impact quite well. Everything seems so perfectly [placed on the page that it feels like it could almost fall apart if even one line was out of place. Itsbeen very delicate and intricate work throughout the series, but the thirteenth issue has some particularly delicate elements of the story. Read Full Review

Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez
Dec 19, 2024THE SACRIFICERS #13 kicks ass and takes names when Pigeon is captured by Kroniuous but refuses to stay captured for long. Rick Remender's script has strong ideas and even stronger action, and Andr Lima Arajo's art comes very close to matching Max Fiumara's exquisite standard. Read Full Review

This issue finally sees another angle to this killing spree that Pigeon has been on. While I'm missing the levity from the previous issue, the nuances of the conflict introduced here display some pretty interesting potential stories. This series has remarkable consistency and remains string finishing as one of my top series of the year.

This comic is amazing. I love the mix of fantasy action mix with the theme of class warfare. How Remender weaves these elements in this story is nothing short of amazing. I get all tingly thinking about it.

Pigeon takes things to a new level in this one, battling the God who makes points about how things work in the world. Pigeon proposes a new plan that is definitely a note on the government. I just don't like that Rick doesn't tell the two stories simultaneously. One issue is one story, the next issue is the next story. Can we split it up a little better? This title promised much more than it delivered. Here is another issue with our hero rampaging around killing everyone.
