  Superhero deconstructions have been done to death but Nick Wilson sets itself apart by establishing Nick as an honestly good man we want to root for rather than the cliched total screw-up desperate to reclaim his former glory.   I had no idea what to expect going into this first issue and the series as a whole but after reading this first issue I want to see where it all goes. While the overall concept is familiar, what's delivered is unique and in a way that takes a world would a superhero and grounds it. A sleeper comic a lot of folks might miss and missing out.   Overall, I must say that I'm intrigued by the first issue. I find the concept to be interesting, the characters complex and the art to be lovely. I feel for Nick and I want to discover more about what his future holds and the path that his life will take.   'The Further Adventures of Nick Wilson' is an entertaining character study that's part-The Big Lebowski and part-E! True Hollywood Story. Gorodetsky and Andreyko have created a former hero worth rooting for in the hopes he'll find redemption.   If I didn't know the big names attached to this series, I wouldn't know that they were award-winning writers based on this issue. But like I said previously, it is not a bad issue at all. It will be fun to watch what is in store for Nick WIlson in the future issues, but I am not anxiously waiting for the second issue as of right now. I am open to my mind completely changing on this series as it progresses, so in time we will see. Read Full Review
