Mar 11, 2020Stealth #1is a stellar new entry into the world of superheroes, grounding its genre trappings with a moving story and striking artwork. With a feature film in development by Lee Daniels, it looks like Stealth may join other heroes in having a presence outside the printed page. Read Full Review

Mar 15, 2020Stealth #1 presents aworld of conversation starters regarding mental illness, hero worship, andstraight up comic book storytelling. Its a story about checking in with ourheroes to know when theyve reached their limit and when to flip the roles totake care of them. Its about a kind of responsibility we need to own up tomore than we actually do. Read Full Review

Apr 01, 2020Costa writes an amazingly smart and sensitive script. It just hits all the right beats. The art by Bellegarde is perfectly wonderful. The two creators strike a balance and it is awesome to witness. This is a stunning debut issue that has plenty on it's mind and plenty of brains and emotions to back it all up. Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Nick Devonald
Mar 09, 2020This is a very promising start to a new series. I really hope the rest of the series lives up to expectations, and if they do this could very well be called a classic several years down the line. Not only tackling sensitive issues but making them the focus of the story is a brilliant move. I’m excited to see what comes next. Costa works really well with Bellegarde and Bonvillain to tell an exciting and fresh superhero story. Read Full Review

Mar 12, 2020"Stealth" is an excellent and emotional character study. It's rare to get readers so invested in a brand new superhero comic, but this team has done it. Read Full Review

Mar 10, 2020It's not unheard of for the first issue of a comic to present a problem for the hero. Stealth #1 does that in a much different way. It asks the reader to consider the hero has become the problem. I am interested to see the ssues of pride and stubbornness play in the characters decisions. Image has snuck a social commentary into the pages of a comic…that's the "stealthy" part." Read Full Review

Mar 18, 2020Stealth presents yet a new twist to the superhero genre of comics and it does so with masterful storytelling created by an amazing team of artists who give this new vision all the charm it deserves. I really hope they downgrade the severity of the situation that was just set up right away and keep it as a defining character trait. Read Full Review

Mar 11, 2020Overall, while not a perfect or subtle book, Stealth has commentary on its mind and surely many a plot twist up its sleeve. It can often be hard to picture new superheroes making a splash in today's Batman/Spider-Man obsessed world, but Stealth certainly deserves attention for its gumption. Read Full Review

Comic Crusaders - Nemesis
Mar 13, 2020This book has a lot of promise and I love its premise. That said, errors throughout the book detracted heavily from my enjoyment. It should be noted that none of these errors have to be fatal for the ongoing series and I hope that the quality of the book improves as its run continues. I would recommend this title to those looking for human drama, urban stories or superhero action. The book is not perfect, yet, but it has potential and I will wait and see what happens. A first issue has to do so much - and this did it all perfectly, including the twist I did not see coming, despite having read hundreds of first issues. Outstanding.

I basically picked this up on a whim after seeing reviews here. I knew nothing sbout this character or his planned film adaptation, but man this comix was good. Very different look and feel from a lot of other heroes and it already sets up a lot of good stuff for going forward. Hopefully the movie gets off the ground and we can have a big new superhero on our hands.

I happened upon Stealth by accident. It had two things going for it immediately. 1. The Story was set in Detroit, my Home Town 2. The Lead characters were Black, yes I'm that shallow. Beyond that, the comic is solid and has one of the most clever and out of nowhere plot twists I've ever seen pulled off in a comic. The twist is so awesome that I had legit "Oh Shit" reaction while reading and immediately added the title to my monthly pull-list. I won't spoil the twist in this review. I absolutely loved the opening monologue about Detroit. I knew that the writer had to be from Detroit and I was very excited to find out on the letters page that he was from "The Hood". I also liked the lead character, Tony He's likable and I appr more

Very interesting first issue. I liked the twist to the storyline, it definitely makes the whole situation very unique. The pacing of the story was good. Just feel like it missed a little something, maybe more dialogue, to take it from very good to great.
