Andrea Sorrentino continues to amaze with his work on this title every month. Nothing I can say about his work that I've not already said in previous reviews. His work is amazing, it's haunting, and his panel layouts are unique in the industry. If there was a way to capture the weirdness of David Lynch cinema on a comic book page, Sorrentino does it. This is, uh, pretty good if I'm being nice! I don't know, it happened suddenly, but I'm losing interest in this series. I still believe it's because there's too much talking in these past few issues. Especially this one, where we had the cop talk cliché *and* the "you called me so-and-so" cliché. It's indicative of the whole, I think. The dialogue is not great and we don't have enough cool drawings from the artist to help. Consider this 7.5 a legacy score, built on how much I was once into this. If this downward trend continues, I probably won't be so nice.

One of the slowest issues in a while. I feel like it's setting up things, but there were none of the usual shocking moments. Still a huge fan of the series though.

THE GOOD: -The art's still amazing and pretty much carries the issue. -Thankfully, I still love these characters, and will be compelled to follow them no matter what happens. -Giant cockroaches? Count me in. -The Ploughmen's story was easily the most engaging part of the issue. -I'm way more interested in next issue. I'm curious about the mall, and seeing things come together even more will be (hopefully) satisfying. THE BAD: -This was the weakest issue in a while. It's a shame, but, I really didn't enjoy this as much as the other issues. -The pond scene didn't feel very natural. It felt like it happened only because it had to, and the real shame is, it didn't even have to. It was completely unnecessary. The im agery just felt sort of weak, compared to what other issues have done, as well. more
