You Don't Read Comics - Rick Lopez
Apr 18, 2019The spectacle of the series is by far the artistry of Sorrentino, bringing into existence the insanity Lemire puts onto these completely unhinged scripts. From the beautifully rendered depictions of life to the mind-bending landscape from within the Sinclairs haunted black barn, Sorrentino delivers some of his best work to date. As the series is set to air on television in the future, the overall positive responses to the title bring hope for a rich story with longevity from this fantastic duo. Read Full Review

Apr 17, 2019Gideon Falls started with the compelling premise of a haunted location known ominously as the Black Barn, and as we learn more about the terrifying reach it and its envoys have, it's hard not devour each monthly issue. Comic Crusaders - Daniel Clark
Apr 18, 2019Gideon Falls#12 shifts the focus of the book to a new time and place in more ways than one. This may seem like a restart at first but clearly, the approach here is much bolder and well executed as anyone in this series would expect. As you turn each page the atmosphere builds to that expected boiling point only to go further and father than one would expect. Based on this issue Gideon Falls has no intention of slowing down. Word Of The Nerd - Jordan Claes
Apr 17, 2019Sometimes in order to move forward, you need to first go backward. It appears Jeff Lemire is telling us that in order to understand the Black Barn, we need to go back to where it all began. While a part of me is admittedly disappointed at having to wait to find out what happened with Norton and Father Fred, I know we'll get there in time. It's what I love about Jeff Lemire; he's constantly imbuing a sense of confidence that everything will be ok. He reminds readers that it's ok to look out the window, to enjoy the journey rather than always needing to focus on the road ahead. Read Full Review
