When the new year rolls in in just a matter of days, folks everywhere are going to pledge to change to exercise, give up vices, and change their diets. If they need motivation, odds are they can find some within the pages of this book. It's not the most pedestrian comic on the stands today, but it is one of the most memorable and different books. This issue kicks off a whole new arc, and as always there are plenty of moments for even the newer readers to catch up on what is going on. The humor is top notch, the tale is interesting, and the continued twists delivered up in both the writing and art keeps me coming back for more. It's worth your time to buy this issue and dive right in, earning Chew #16, 4 out of 5 Stars. Read Full Review

I enjoyed this issue of Chew as much as any other. You never get a bad one. As is the case with most opening issues to an arc there is a lot of set up and quite a bit of unanswered questions. This issue felt like it ended just as the steam was picking up but without the aid of a cliffhanger. It's a fun read and I'm sure the arc is going to be outstanding once it's completed.
