Chew #15

This is book is just pure, unadulterated fun and creativity, and I can't tell you how immensely pleased I am to see an independent series doing so well like this, even when it's so offbeat. And to do so well that it's got such high production values and an expansive fold-out cover! If you haven't already seen what's so good for yourself, then take this bite before getting the full meal of those wonderful collections that have come out. "Chew" #15 may be the end of the first quarter of the series, but it's also a big set-up for lots of stories to come. It's a nice reminder of both what's come before, as well as what's to follow. Not that there was any doubt, but I'll definitely be on board for the next 45 issues still to come. "Chew" continues to be a tasty little treat. Read Full Review

Just when the issue was hitting it's stride it takes a drastic turn that could flip the entire series on its head, then the issue abruptly ends. I'm not sure what to make of this development, or of the major revelation involving Tony's family life. This might elevate the title to another level, or it could easily crash and burn. The end result is anyone's guess, but let it be known that Layman and Guillory are not afraid to take bold chances when it comes to Chew. Read Full Review

Chew is at the top of list to read each time it ships. It seems that each issue contains surprises and that each issue builds the puzzle out making the overall story more layered and worthy of a complete series re-read. I can't recommend this issue and series any more. Read Full Review
