Sonic The Hedgehog #7

This series is a nice treat that I look forward to every month. Between Flynn’s storytelling and the carousel of talented artists, each issue contains some amazing and classic comic book action while remaining fresh. Sonic the Hedgehog #7 gives us an amazing battle scene, a nice twist, and a really fun reunion at the end. This issue makes me more excited for the next one more than any issue prior has done. Its drama and conflict with our favorite hedgehog easily create the comic book of the week for me. Read Full Review

With the reintroduction of the characters seemingly finished and finally meeting our main antagonist, I think I would've much rather enjoyed the mystery drugged on a bit longer and focus more on the team trying to rebuild their homes. This is mainly because the series right now is feeling more of the same without trying anything too new. Read Full Review

Love this issue. Adam Bryce Thomas is just perfect in bringing the visuals of Sonic to the comic medium, the action was top-notch and on par with most mainstream comics and the twist, while obvious, makes perfect sense and sets up the next 5 or so comics very well. This is starting to shape up to be one of my favorite comics not from DC or Image, and I'm looking forward not just for the next issue, but the next one from this duo. No offense to the other artists working on this comic, but everytime Ian gets Adam to illustrate his scripts, he brings his material to the best level possible.

The pacing of the action is great, the reveal is awesome and keeps the trend of giving us yet one more classic Sonic character. Up to this point a lot of the action has been a little hard to follow. I think it has mostly been from a lack of sound effects and other onomatopoeia but the scenes here really feel impactful and flow together extremely well. Adam Bryce Thomas might be my favorite artist on this rotation.
