  This was a solid issue that has put the Shadow on a new adventure to find The White Tiger. One of many from his past who is able to dig up skeletons from lives he has left behind. Not as exciting as the previous storyline, but it's something different no less. In this issue Cranston is meeting people who have no idea of what to expect from someone like him who they haven't seen for such a long time. Makes for interesting interactions when you compare how they remember him to how he is now. Read Full Review

  Roberson proves that not every issue has to have gun battles and explosions, sometimes you can have quieter issues of The Shadow hunting down clues. The arc started out a little slow, but Roberson starts to pull you in to the wider mystery this month. You can't help but like where things are (possibly) going. Read Full Review

  All in all this is a stronger issue than the previous installment. It's light on action, there is no signature gun-play or rooftop fights but it is a more slow-burning deductive episode as The Shadow tries to piece together the mystery of the severed finger and girasol upon it. Another welcome addition to this classic pulp character's storied past. Read Full Review

  After an issue off, artist Giovanni Timpano returns to the title with a style that fits the cold and darkness of the setting and storyline as our hero journeys into a mystery linked to his shadowy past. Worth a look. Read Full Review

  I may stick around for a few more issues of The Shadow, but I'd like to see more plot development. I'd like to see some expansion on The Shadow's Russian past (though something tells me that might have occurred in an earlier issue). I'd like to see colourful agents, manic villain takedowns and intricate, elegant plans come together in unexpected ways. This wasn't that kind of story. This wasn't what I expected from The Shadow"but it was interesting enough. Read Full Review
