Codename: STALVODA
Translation (from Russian): STEEL WATER

A relic of the Cold War, the deadly compound Stalvoda has a long-buried connection with MI6. So when it mysteriously reappears in disturbing circumstances, the agency naturally assigns its best operative to get to the bottom of things - 007 himself, James Bond.

But Bond isn't the only one to have carried the double-0 rank, and with it MI6's secrets. Former agent Archibald Tyron is another, and he's also carrying a grudge - one that's aimed squarely at the heart of His Majesty's Secret Service!

JAMES BOND: 007 (VOL. 3) #1 marks Garth Enniss return to Dynamite with a peak James Bond story. Bond is as charming and deadly as ever in his hunt to recover cutting-edge bomb tech, and Ennis sets the tone for a classic Bond right out of the gate. 007 fans will be well and truly pleased. I'm a huge Bond fan and this is my first ever James bond comic because of Garth Ennis. I wasn't sure before starting this issue if James can ever come across all that well in the comics medium but I really rather enjoyed it and the dynamics of the whole team felt real and written with love to the earlier films. It wasn't perfect and the art was a hit and a miss from panel to panel but good job and I will be back for issue 2

The whole beginning is far too wordy for what it is. Ennis sets up every member of the family with dialogue only to make all of it irrelevant. I like the MacGuffin here and his conversation with the former 00. I think there should have been a remote alarm that showed the enemy team setting up. He just happens to see them at the last second. I like it, but it could have been better. My Comic Review Channel - https://youtu.be/JldX7Z8peXU
