While out on a scouting mission in unexplored terrain, Cheetara encounters a rogue cell of Mu'Tants. In the course of subduing them, she discovers that a much larger Mu'Tant horde led by Slithe is mobilizing to attack the last survivors of Thundera at that very second!

Now the ThunderCats' swiftest warrior must reach the Cat's Lair before the Mu'Tants to sound the alarm - while also battling against Slithe's forces every step of the way!

Redoubtable writer DECLAN SHALVEY and indefatigable illustrator DREW MOSS pick up the pace with ThunderCats #9, accelerated by propulsive covers from SHALVEY, DAVID NAKAYAMA, LUCIO PARRILLO, more

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

    Nov 01, 2024

Once again, its nice to see what essentially equates with 10 to 15 minutes of an animated episode in a single issue. The formulaic approach to script writing that was necessitated by a 1980s after school syndicated animated series It was a very regimented. Its nice to see a plot applied to this particular cast in this particular setting that doesnt necessarily need to fall in line in between commercial brakes. ThunderCats #9 continues this wonderful new arc for the 1980s icons known as the ThunderCats. Declan Shalvey does a great job of not only building a new world and story, but also keeping the characters familiar to longtime fans. The pacing of the story is impeccable and spreading the wealth amongst all the different characters makes them all feel important. Read Full Review

    Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez

    Oct 28, 2024

THUNDERCATS #9 delivers an action-heavy issue when the Mu'Tants attack the partially constructed Cat's Lair. Declan Shalvey's script leans heavily on action to keep the energy and interest high. Still, the plot leaves out key bits of information to make sense of what's happening, and Drew Moss's art remains consistently mediocre. Read Full Review
