Wonder Woman #47

This is a wonderful issue. The art is gorgeous; the action is exhilarating and the dialogue scenes are engaging. The concept of the story becomes a lot more interesting with the reveal of the Dark Gods. The issue is exciting and a genuinely fun read. Read Full Review

The artwork for this issue was okay, it carried the story well, as one would expect for the style of Wonder Woman. Super Girl looked like she should have, and the interpretations of the Fates was pretty spot on. Again the most interesting part was how they chose to draw the Star Sapphires, their transitional appearance and sudden disappearance was very well done. Read Full Review

Okay, I am not the biggest fan of heroes fighting heroes. But I have to say this one was so gorgeous to look at that I didn't mind it. And I liked Diana's attitude during the fight. I also have to laud Jenny Frison for her variant covers on this run. I have loved them. And this one, with Wonder Woman and Supergirl laughing and having ice cream is spectacular. Fans and casual readers alike who have been following the new "Dark Gods" story arc will not want to miss out on Wonder Woman #47. It adds new dimensions to Jason's character and to his and Diana's relationship. Wonder Woman #47 also opens up a very compelling new storyline. Wonder Woman #47 is a fun if slightly flawed comic that has two of DCs strongest duking it out while bizarre gods arrive to wreak havoc upon the Earth. The story is mostly told well, and the artists do not disappoint. This one earns a recommendation. Check it out. Read Full Review

In Wonder Woman, DC has a character that may be better suited to grander stories like Brave and the Bold, rather than straight up superhero stories. The problem being, that she may not have the following to make that type of book successful. Of course DC are about to test the theory with their new line of books.. So while we wait, again, Robinson strives to breach the ranks of DC's top-tier books such as Detective or Green Lanterns, striving to make Consistent Woman, a Wonder once more. Read Full Review

While the story going forward might get a little crazy in what we're dealing with and how our title character will be a part of it, this issue for what it was was mostly enjoyable and gave us some of the answers we've been looking for.  The art was great throughout and while I might be regretting this later on, right now I'm interested in where the story's going and looking forward to the next issue. Most of the issue was taken up with a fight and the origin of Jason's armor. Still, the actual appearance of the Dark Gods at the end of the issue means we'll likely be getting some answers soon, as well as the rest of the story. Read Full Review

In the end, this was another disappointing chapter of Wonder Woman from Robinson. The shift needs to come back to Wonder Woman and really focus on her being the hero of her own book. Even the end of this issue, while meaning to set up the upcoming annual (why in the middle of this arc?), really only seems to serve the character of Jason and his heros journey. Hopefully, Robinson can bring it back to Diana and fix his consistently-wonky pacing before the end of this arc, or it wont even be worth finishing. Read Full Review

The story wasn't bad, but was less good than the previous one. But the end was very surprising for sure. I did like the encounter between jason & the fates. Cover - I really like the beautiful variant even if not with a real link 1.5/2 Writing - I will put the fact I have some trouble with it because I didn't expect some of much part of the story. But that was nicely made. 2.5/3 Arts - Love the art, very beautiful. 3/3 Feeling - A little bumpy, I didn't enjoy it like I expected ! 0/2
