There is so much I could say and so many thoughts upon finishing this masterpiece, and it is one of the best comics of the series, probably of all time as well. But I will just say this: So much of the comic book medium punches well below its weight class, and trust me I'm a fan of the classic superhero stuff. But Alan Moore here shows us what the medium can look like at its absolute best. Combining written word with the visual medium has the ability to tell and show stories that books and art alone simply cannot, even the movie version of this work, despite being almost panel for panel, doesn't capture the weight of what Moore presents and the density of it all as well. I could read this over and over again and still uncover something n ew each time, a new metaphor, a new call back, something hidden in one of the panels I missed at first glance. This makes me proud to be a comic book fan. Cheers. more

A nice enough ending that kinda brings about the conspiracy of A New World Order. I don’t fully buy it but ok as with all things it built on a house of cards and The journal is about to possibly be published.

This series starts off well enough but by the end gets bogged down with its multiple minor storylines and excessive dialogue. The Black Freighter story was tedious to read and just a distraction from the main story.

Listen, I love this issue, and not gonna lie as an ending, its a perfect conclusion to the story that is Watchmen. Seriously, many series want a conclusion so tied up yet so open ended and so satisfying, I wish I could write half as good as Moore did for this ending, especially with allat symbolism too man this is too elite. Sadly, this still achieves a score of 8/10, but not mainly for anything doing with the writing, and I have multiple critiques for this issue. First off, the art this issue was seriously inconsistent, there were some bad panels beforehand, but seriously, this looked like they had 2 weeks to complete this issue instead of 4, some of the art is extremely awesome and other parts of it just sadly fall flat. Either way though , this issue was amazing, and a top tier issue that I'd suggest many people read due to how good it is. Another critique I have is actually about Veidt as a character, don't get me wrong, he is a great character, but again his dialogue is hard to read and not gonna lie when it came to him fighting the characters in this issue it felt like some sort of weird power fantasy more than anything, other than that tho yea. Finally, the last critique I have is just that...The kinda unrealistic conclusion? I said the conclusion was perfect, yes...But bro, why the hell did the burger american place become american x russian burger place...Just feels a little too unrealistic from a comic that portrays realism really well. Either way though yea, this series was good, and I'm thankful for reading it. more

ironic that the storyline averts a potential nuclear war by promising a better future while also taking every interesting character and making them so dull that you don't care what happens next to them.
