Thankfully I can focus on the action and on the brilliant dialogue, ignoring the niggles in the issue. Adam Glass is adding more and more heat to the pot and, with D'Jinn, he has created a character I care about, but who really frightens me. Being a Teen Titans/ Titans fan for over three decades (I own the issues where Dick Grayson gave up on being Robin and became Nightwing) no other Titans member has had me more on edge since Raven's turn to the demonic, or Terra from the legendary "Judas Contract" storyline. This annual sets up some new themes for the upcoming issues and is entertaining to boot. All too often, annuals feature one-off stories that are interesting but ultimately useless to the larger story arc. In this case, Glass has given us two stories that both tie back to what is going on while introducing new elements to look forward to. The artwork in both stories is adequate if not mind-blowing and does a very good job conveying the story and action therein. In truth, while I preferred the pencils by Ryan Benjamin in “Robin vs Robin”, I preferred the inking by Jordi Tarragono in “Joy To The World”. Richard Friend's inking seemed over saturated and messy at times while the pencils by Jose Luis were not quite up to the standards set by Ryan Benjamin in the first story. Overall I enjoyed this issue. Adams writing is great, I'm enjoying what he's doing with the group and actually look forward to seeing how this continues to progress. Hi-Fi's coloring is stunning, Kid Flash and D'Jinn are great example's of this. I preferred the writing in “Robin vs Robin” but liked the art better in “Joy to the World”, but I didn't dislike either story and found the annual enjoyable overall. Read Full Review

Though something of a mixed bag in terms of overall quality, there's enough meat on the bones of these stories to justify the extra dollar price tag. Adam does a great job moving his subplots running, but if you were expecting a conclusion to the Robin/Red Hood/The Other story, you'll be a bit disappointed. Read Full Review

Story 1: great fight scene but can not see Damian losing a fight to Jason, at least not without some advantage to Jason. Art work is phenomenal! Great movement of the story and very curious on the box. Story 2: hoping to see more of Joystick! The Emiko and Djinn conflict have been interesting since the beginning and we only get more of it! Story had a great Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 moment with laughing at the name Joystick.

Wow, the Red Hood and Robin fight was so forced you could practically see the puppet strings, and I get Damian is psycho... but my god, man. The only saving grace is the second story which decides to not be as trashy.

The first story was pretty good. The second story was not. And the epilogue sets up some eye-rolling drama for later issues.

My favourite thing is how everybody is dumb and mostly useless and they’re constantly on the verge of losing even though they have a basically omnipotent sex predator on their team.
