I think the bones of this story will resonate with many people who feel isolated or alone even among friends. I know it did for me which made the last panel hit especially hard. Omen #1...er, Power Girl #13 is such a bizarre issue. It's either written incredibly poorly and awkwardly, or it's really setting up something sinister with Omen. If it's the former, thenwe've experienced this beforeif it's the latter, well this may be the best issue of the series so far. As such this issue has to fall right in the middle. This is one of those instances that only through hindsight will we really be able to judge it. A great issue with some really good comedic beats. I loved the writing and the art was solid. The characters speak like real people would speak, which is always a breath of fresh air when reading comics. This issue was a lot of fun, in both the silly interactions among the characters and the action moments in the later part of the issue. Great stuff.

This series needs to be put out of its misery. How this survived going into DC All In is an absolute mystery to me. The writing is bad, the focus isn’t even on the titled character and most of the issue is spent with Omen doing nothing but texting, choosing a dress and then going to a ball where we then get a page or two of the only thing of consequence to happen in this issue. The art is the only redeeming factor in this issue and it’s a shame it’s wasted on another Leah Williams pile of hot garbage. I’m done with with this book now. I want it to be good but it’s just not and I would recommend anyone parting with money for this not to encourage what Leah Williams is serving up.

What the bleep was this issue? It was just a really really boring Omen issue. The Axel date was way more exciting than this and even that was pretty boring. Honestly ask yourself, what are you still doing buying this book? If you say art, well sure. Its good but not amazing and you would need some breathtaking art to overcome the drivel that is the writing. I assuming you are like me and just buying this as it is your 'Shame read of the month'. TD DR, This is a trash issue, you got to be a massive masochist or making incredibly poor comic buying choices (like myself), to still be reading this.
