Nightwing Annual #3

Annuals are just a fun way to tell a one off or fill in the blanks. Nightwing Annual #3 does both. The action is fast and furious. Dick is still Dick. I suspect this is a reminder not all of us who he was and what is coming next. If you want to feel like you are traveling through time, and you miss Nightwing, check this one out. Read Full Review

Nightwing Annual #3 really is a mixed bag. Though I enjoyed the story, the art really put me off, which makes my rating score slip. The writing gets a solid 4 out of 5, but I can only give the visuals a 2 out of 5, thanks to the great color and lettering, but less than stellar line-art. Read Full Review

If you are of the mind that Annuals are a waste of time and money, I don't think this issue will change your point of view.  Maybe this will become more important later, after Ric goes back to Dick, but I hope not.  When Nightwing fans cry to get Nightwing back, this isn't what they are talking about. Nightwing Annual #3 is worth purchasing only for die hard fans of the series. Getting to see Nightwing back in action is great, but the story itself doesn't match that excitement. The Condors have the opportunity to grow into a interesting ally/potential threat, but their current status as outside observers kneecaps any potential to grow as of now. For completionists, the book is worth the extra dollar, but overall this chapter feels like a deleted scene that no one needed to see and whose relevance is up to speculation. Read Full Review

It’s a real shame Jurgens didn’t get the opportunity to give us a run with Dick (not Ric) Grayson. This shows that Jurgens could write a great Nightwing series if he wasn’t stuck with Ric Grayson

“Oh no you can’t take him to a hospital, there’s no time! Fly him the seven hours it would take to get to Montana instead! Obviously!” Also, that woman sexually harassing Nightwing, it’s not cute. It’s actually really gross! DC can and should be a lot better than this.
