Metamorpho: The Element Man #4

This book is a fast-paced read, but it's also surprisingly dense, with a whole lot of lore and mad science packed into every page. I'm not sure if there are any plans for this series to continue past the sixth issue, I hope this is just the start of Ewing working with some of the weirder and wackier characters in the DCU. Is this the best comic DC is doing now? It's a pity it's only six issues, though it's probably not sustainable. And dear lord, the meta of the Who's Who page with the deeper meta of "marital status" retconned" is hysterical.

This series continues to be very entertaining. There are some genuinely humorous parts and some of them don’t rely on being over 50, having read this comic in the sixties, or being familiar with the parlance of the Go-Go-Check era. That said, there is something missing. I can’t be sure of what it is, but this comic needs something. It’s close enough to being brilliant that you can almost taste it. Definitely worth checking out. It’s something unique!
