Sep 24, 2023Hawkgirl #3 is a fun team-up, adds depth to Galaxy and Kendra's characters, and also progresses the Nth metal mystery plotline as the book continues to be one of the cutest, gayest, and most badass current comics on the stands. Read Full Review

Sep 19, 2023This is definitely one of the most ambitious stories in DC's stable, and while that can sometimes overwhelm the story, it usually works as a fascinating character study. Read Full Review

Sep 19, 2023Hawkgirl #3 felt primarily like a guest shot issue where Batman is shoe-horned into the story. Even though Vulpecula seems like a very generic villain, I love the interactions between Hawkgirl and Galaxy, as well as the great fight scenes and action. Im hoping next issue well get more insight into Vulpecula and the Nth Metal Dimension. Read Full Review

Sep 27, 2023There are some fun bits along the way that touches on how Kendra's forgotten or missed out on some of the right ways to be a superhero and that comes from interacting with the locals. The small sequence at the start when she deals with the Croc Bloc gang is light and fun and I appreciated the street-level element that we get. The stuff with Galaxy and Batman is fun and just acknowledging the Corgi delivers as it should. The book has all kinds of potential but it feels like it leans in an area that's just tiring and that the execution is keeping it from achieving what it needs to. Read Full Review

Sep 19, 2023Hawkgirl #3 isn't very good, but it's slighty better than the first two issues. Still, Hawkgirl #3 poorly concocts an excuse to head to Gotham for an obligatory Batman cameo so the world's greatest detective can add context to Vulpecula's backstory. At best, this issue is flawed and mediocre. Read Full Review
