Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles

Next issue looks to bring Bottled Light to its conclusion. This hasn't been a story arc with major ramifications to the overall Green Lantern mythos, but it's been a tremendous amount of fun. Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps hasn't had a bad issue and issue 11 was another winner for this always reliable read. Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Matthew Lloyd

The Green Lantern mythos have undergone a number of big changes in the past 20 plus years. This arc feels like it is on the verge of another big change. It doesn't hurt that Sayd and Ganthet are the only two remaining Guardians of the Universe and it appears they are about to become relevant again, and at the same time the story revisits popular concepts and recasts others in a new light. Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps continues to be an interesting, surprising and sometimes challenging title, but challenging in a good. Read Full Review

"Bottled Light" heads towards its conclusion next issue and this issue does all the right things to set Larfleeze and the lanterns on a collision course that I'm really looking forward to.  Venditti's latest story is a great reminder of the kind of action packed space adventure that has long been a hallmark of the lantern books.  Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #11 is another brilliant chapter that's enjoyable from cover to cover.  Nine out of ten lanterns. Comics: The Gathering - John White

    Dec 28, 2016

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #11 is the strongest issue of Venditti’s run, and that is saying something. Although he has always worked to balance the story between all the major characters, none have seemed so effortless. The way the story seamlessly moves from Hal and Kyle to John and Guy is something that I hope continues in all the issues to come. Rafa Sandoval and Tomeu Morey again prove to be a powerful one two punch for the art. As we take one step closer to Earth’s four lanterns reuniting, Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps remains one of the most satisfying books put out by any publisher today. Read Full Review

    Green Lantern Corps - iggy

What else more can I say about Rafa Sandoval? Well sadly I will say that certain facial expressions looked a bit stiffer than previous issues, but it's rendition of Larfleeze is what shines as he brings back that intimidation factor that Larfleeze has been lacking for several years. Larlfeeze isn't physically imposing it how Sandoval frames his face and where he puts his body. Not a bad way to end 2016 with Rafa Sandoval art. Read Full Review

    Comic Book Revolution - Kevin

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #11 is the strongest chapter of "Bottled Light" that we have had thus far. Robert Venditti was able to strike a good balance between Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern and Sinestro Corps individual stories. He is also able to bring them together to set-up a reunion between Hal and his friends that could go many different ways. The introduction of Larfleeze as the main villain of the story was seamlessly integrated to the ongoing story. It doesn't hurt that this issue feature some great looking artwork from Rafa Sandoval. A little bit of forward motion in the story peppered with some goofy antics and incredible artwork makes for a pretty good comic book. This issue is definitely a good sign of things to come, but I should point out that I have never correctly picked the teams that will be in the World Series, even after the first round of playoffs. Who doesn't love the craziness that Larfleeze bring to a Green Lantern comic? The more other Lantern Corps appear within this comic, the happier I become with it. First the yellow, than the white, with the orange now appearing, I hope that the blue are next to make a grand entrance into the universe.

Fun issue! Nice to see John Stewart's leadership abilities play out even if it was a little predictable. Also liked seeing Hal's disappointment that he didn't find the Corps and his elation when he discovers that they are already back. This one's a nice mix of action and humor that moves the plot forward towards the showdown next issue.

An enjoyable action packed issue. The Green Lantern Corps & Yellow Lantern Corps work together to escape their entrapment from Larfleeze. Nice artwork by Sandoval.

Comic Book Review (8/10) "Great" Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #11 "Bottled Light Part 4" Writer: Robert Venditti Penciller: Rafael Sandoval Plot: Larfleeze was behind the bottling of the Green Lantern Corp and the Siniestro Corp, and John Stewart, Guy Gardner, and Soranik must find a way to escape. Meanwhile, Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner re-unite, and discover that the Green Lantern Corp is still alive... This was a fun issue with many of the New52 characters coming back to make a comic that was reminiscent of the New52 Green Lantern comics. The dual stories in this book of Hal Jordan going to Mogo to discover that the Green Lantern Corp was still alive, and Stewart and Soranik planning to find a way to escape their prison more

A charming bit of fun as Green and Yellow team up to outsmart Orange. Excellent artwork from Sandoval, especially the layouts.

Even if Venditti is doing a very enjoyable run on Hal Jordan, the story is still too classic. I feel like I already read this story, and also the last one. Overall, I don't lose faith in the author and I expect that the upcoming arcs will be more original. Also, the artistic team delivers an incredible work, far better than the artwork from the end of the New 52 series.
