This issue doesn't have some of the best parts of the series, like John's mother (who was knocked unconscious in an attack last issue), but it does continue to build up Johnson's vision of the character. Even with John Stewart trying to stay away, the life of a Green Lantern cannot escape him. This statement rings true with an excellent chapter that is sure to have fans talking. Johnson tests Stewarts drive with great writing while Montos delivers on some memorable panels ushering the next phase of the iconic Green lanterns journey. Read Full Review

This will vary from person to person for sure, but I liked it. Excellent art that really gave the atmosphere it needed. We see John's will in action and the plot for getting him back into powered up mode feels natural/logical and not shoe horned in. Good work. I expect issues 5 and 6 to be action packed.

Great read. I am enjoying both Green Lantern books right now, but I think this title has been the better of the two.

Doesn’t quite hit the heights of the first 3 issues, but it’s still an engrossing chapter that portends an upcoming war between the (corrupt) United Planets and the OG Green Lantern Corps that’s currently under their control. Can’t wait to see where this is headed, but one thing is clear: the two GL titles are headed for a cross-over soon.

The story was okay, but dragged on a bit and was kinda boring. The art wasn't as good here as in the previous issues, it seemed a little muddy and rushed. They also got the GL logo sideways on the ring a couple of times which just shows that there wasn't as much attention to detail.
