Green Lantern #17

This issue and this arc sums up why I love Green Lantern. Granted, there was only one issue of this arc that felt like Johns tried to cram too much into an issue. Otherwise, he has done fantastic work with the return of Hal Jordan. The continuous storylines that have been maintained throughout this series remind me of another very popular and successful title: Ed Brubakers Captain America. Both writers have kept up with one major plot point while continuing to explore other happenings in the respective worlds of our heroes. This arc ends up being very successful and ends with this issue pointing to the chaos that is to come, not to mention giving Amon Sur the credit he deserves as a major villain. Green Lantern #17 was another awesome read. Johns and Reis are an incredible team and then just continue to kick ass on this title each and every month. I am exited about the future plotlines in the Sinestro Corp and Star Sapphire. There is a lot to look forward to with this title. I definitely recommend giving Green Lantern a try. I’m really excited to continue reading this series. Geoff Johns is a master at giving an arc his full attention while still building up to future arcs at the same time. Johns and Reis work perfectly in unison and it shows. Liked the Amon Sur character
