This is an okay issue. I like the central conflict and how it resolves. Ollie had a lot of baggage about Roy before he died so Oliver is dealing with a lot and I think it's interesting. The art is a mixed bag. I do like the backgrounds and there is some well constructed action. But the characters look a little off to me and I found that distracting. Read Full Review

The issue even comes with a good twist ending, setting up what will almost certainly be another fight to rip your heart out in issue 50. Read Full Review

This run of Green Arrow ends next issue, which is disappointing since it's consistently delivered since the start of Rebirth. Whatever the next plan is for the character, hopefully Kelly and Lanzing will be involved. Read Full Review

Kelly and Lanzing leave Oliver in a bad place. He's essentially broken. In the next and last issue of Green Arrow, I'm interested in seeing how Oliver resolves his grief, or if he can. He will definitely be tested even more with what's coming. Read Full Review

GREEN ARROW looks like it'll end with a character-focused whimper rather than bang, which is a good thing in my opinion. The art here was problematic but the plotting was executed very well near the end of the issue. Read Full Review

It's a shame two awesome characters, Arrow and Black Canary, won't have more time together. They really do work well off one another. But at least we'll get what looks to be an unforgettable matchup coming up. Read Full Review

I'm more impressed with the idea of this issue than its actual execution because while there is a certain flavor at the end that satiated my want for the grieving I'd expect from the loss of Roy Harper, the way we get there is a bit forced and goes on way too long.  With that too, I'm not a huge fan of the art this issue, but still found myself liking some of what we got from that.   Read Full Review

This was alright. I don't think it hit emotionally. And the ending doesn't get me excited at all.

A very unsatisfying ending to go with an unsatisfying issue. Riot is really an unnecessary character and made no really important role for a guest character to be in it. The writing wasn’t that awful nor was it that good! More so in the middle. With next issue being the last issue, can tell they really wanted to wrap this story up quick. Even if it meant ruining the issue.

THE GOOD: -Nice art. Not as good as last time, but still good. -Still lovin' the Inception visuals. I will highlight some standouts of this below. -Count Vertigo turning Green Arrow's arrow into a spiral straw was just neat. -Seeing different Dinah's and different Ollies growing out of each other was cool. It reminded me of Gideon Falls actually. Maybe I'm just too obsessed with that series. -Then comes the real kicker. Green Arrow firing the Space Needle out of his bow. As someone who lives near Seattle, I will always think of this issue when I see the Space Needle again. -The emotion came really hard-hitting this issue. I absolutely loved the resolution. Not an action scene, but a powerful tribute to Roy. -Count Vertigo turned from boring to compelling in just a few panels. Nice job, Kelly and Lanzing. THE BAD: -I really hate Jayce. She's just a weak character. -I also thought Dinah was really weak this issue. Which is weird, considering I liked her a lot last issue. -I'm sorry, but even with the emotional context, Oliver saying the words, "I'm Green Arrow, I can do anything," is just super corny. -The end of this issue doesn't have me hooked. I have a feeling issue 50 will be messy. Then again, I could be wrong. -I don't know, I liked last issue a lot, this just didn't feel like it was nearly as good. more
