Freedom Fighters continues to be one of the best books that DC Comics is putting out right now and I love the character work with both our heroes and our villains.  I just wish that the action sequences in this book would have taken a backseat to some of the more personal conversations because while it was cool, it just went on a little too long.  Still a great issue though and with our cliffhanger I can't wait to get my hands on the next chapter. If you like Eddy Barrows art, and I definitely do, this book is a feast for the eyes " but that's largely all it is, as the massive splash pages can't cover up the fact that a story and cast of characters never really developed here. Read Full Review

Prelude: The revolution is here. It's the third last issue of this maxi-series so it's time for Venditti and Barrows to land this series. Let's see how they go. The Good: Uncle Sam is proving his strength here. I love seeing the Spirit of America growing to stop the Nazis. Oh, and I'm not even American. Art is freaking great but of course it is. Our heroes are flawed and they have doubts but so do some of our villains. Well, mostly. Either way I like seeing these as it shows they're human. The Bad: It's a bit predictable of a story at this stage. Conclusion: While the story structure may be becoming too predictable, every other aspect of this story is shining to great effect. Can't wait for the final two issues.
