A wonderful book both to read and examine, this issue felt real in all the right places. While a few inconsistent characters lessen the overall impact of "Nexus," it is by far the best issue that has been put out by Earth 2: Society so far. Read Full Review

Admittedly, there's a few hiccups in the execution here, with Jimenez's artwork sometimes getting too sketchy, or the page-to-page pacing sometimes jerking forward, but still, this book is one of the most fun DC titles on the stands. Read Full Review

All in all this issue continues to be a step in the right direction for this book. Its not quite there, but it seems like it has the chance. Wilson needs to find a likable character on which to focus. It seemed like he had found that character in Lois/Red Tornado last issue, but neither of those characters has historically sold a lot of comics beyond Supermans Girlfriend Lois Lane in the 50s. This issue of Earth 2 was rough to swallow, on a execution standpoint it was well done, mostly due to Jimenez on pencils. On a personal level seeing Val Zod's name strung the through the mud for something he had no connection to prior just feels lazy and seems to be a device to cause strife and drama within the team. I want to give Wilson a chance and see where he takes the series from here, but I'm not optimistic. Read Full Review

The inconsistencies in this book are getting down right infuriating, especially since all the continuity is from the current writer.  Characters seem really off and ultimately all we get from this issue is a misunderstanding and a flashback that doesn't make sense.  The only thing that is really worthwhile is Jorge Jimenez's art and Alejandro Sanchez's colors. The flashback style is something I wasn't sure of at first but they're proving to be welcome additions and help to flesh out this new earth. Still wanting more of the main story though. Also it seems like there's inconsistency with how OG Superman died, but I'm willing to overlook it.
