Jul 06, 2019Overall I thought that Deathstroke #45 was a great read. At first I thought that without Deathstroke this book would be dead in the water. However Priest gave us a great issue showing us how deadly Rose can be wearing the Ikon suit as well. Although she has rookie moments as the suit's A.I. sarcastically points out, I actually enjoyed her being the main character in this issue. I'm eager to see how exactly her encounter with the Teen Titans plays out, and exactly what the larger consequences of it could be. Read Full Review

Jul 03, 2019The whole issue just works. This is a fun time to be reading this book as I have no idea where it's going. It really can go anywhere. And that's the best feeling anyone can have as a reader. Bravo. Read Full Review

Jul 03, 2019Not a cheery book to read just as Pride month ends, but it's one of the best depictions of a relationship ending I've read in a while " it doesn't lay blame, just shows that sometimes priorities diverge too much. Read Full Review

Jul 03, 2019I was slightly worried how Deathstroke could continue without Slade behind the mask but Priest has managed to settle my nerves in two solid issues since his death. This issue gives us some conclusion to the Deathstroke legacy. It also set us up nicely with plenty of potential story lines fuelled by anger, revenge, hatred and jealousy. Then in the final page we are hit with the mother of all cliffhangers. I thoroughly enjoyed Deathstroke #45 and issue #46 can't come quick enough. Read Full Review

Jul 02, 2019But now, thanks to Shado, it looks like Rose is going to go bananas on the Teen Titans, Red Arrow in particular. I wonder how Jericho will factor into it all, given the proposition a certain evil mastermind threw his way. Based on Jericho's current mental state, it seems likely he takes advantage of the offer. For what purpose though " good or evil " is hard to tell at this juncture. Read Full Review

Jul 03, 2019While you'll get some great art that depicts the family squabbles of the Wilson children in a world where they're father is no longer alive, what you'll also get is some really forced narrative to move the story forward in a very awkward and editor noted way. It's not all bad, but when one of the highlights is Lex Luthor talking as a cliffhanger, you have a bit of a dud of an issue. Thankfully, a lot of the character moments elevate this issue for it to become bigger than it should have been. Read Full Review
