Despite the beautiful visuals, this is a difficult series to read, and with the final issue it gets no better. Very little attempt is made to explain what's going on. This will probably be the end of the line for many readers. Send DC a message " "Get Adams a scripter!" His visuals deserve better. Read Full Review

I appreciateNeal Adams work as much as the next guy. I think he is perhaps one of the mostinfluential comic book artists the industry has ever seen. However, when itcomes to writing, the man needs help, because when left to his own devices, thestory and dialogue simply dont measure up to the expected stature. Read Full Review

This issue is the biggest rip-off of the series thus far--that's right, thus far--but if you've come along to this point, I suppose we can keep strolling along this insane road together. Because it turns out that this six-issue miniseries was actually the first book of (at least) two. I'd like to say all will be revealed in a subsequent miniseries, but we know it won't. I am absolutely speechless by how bad this book is. Neal Adams shouldn't be allowed to write anything. He is a good artist, but his written work is nonsensical and actually hurts to read. I will admit though I did like some of the insults he wrote for Deadman, but the greatest insult was the back of the book where it confirms DC let him write another Batman book after Batman Odyssey.
