Bloodlines #3

Here at the halfway mark, if you haven't realized this is a bit of a love letter to eXtreme 1990s comics, then you've missed the point. The art style, the character convenience, the gratuitous splatter...it all makes me want to slam a Mountain Dew and go see Rage Against the Machine! What's that? They're touring again? With Chuck D from Public Enemy and B-Real from Cypress Hill? That sounds awesome! What are they calling themselves? The Traveling Wilburys??? I'm so old. Read Full Review

The story is certainly enjoyable and I appreciated getting a deeper look at these characters. With the mini-series now at its halfway point, I want to see the next issue take a few great strides forward. Read Full Review

Much like 90s comics it looks pretty good, but the story isn't strong enough to warrant a read. The cover is incredibly misleading as it suggests some superhero action-which is certainly coming in future issues based on the narrative here-but for the most part this is a transition issue that's all about getting characters from point A to point B.
