It's the series finale, and there's a lot of drama to resolve for Kate Kane, both in and out of costume. As Batwoman, she teams with Renee Montoya to thwart Clock King's latest time-bending enterprise: selling a drug that allows criminals to know if their crime will be successful-before it's committed. But Batwoman's facing a quandary to boot: Take this drug off the street, or use it herself to stop crime? The only fight tougher is the personal one: Should Kate and Renee give their relationship another chance?

Like I said earlier, this final issue has everything I've come to expect from a comic by Marguerite Bennett, and from the rest of this incredible creative team. Read Full Review

I have to say that writer Marguerite Bennett seems to truly have a great love and understanding of what makes Batwoman so great, and she has left me wanting more, yearning to see what may have come next, or even what might. As the message of this story arc says, don't worry about the future, don't dwell on the what if's or what could have beens, focus only on the here and the now, the present, and make that as beautiful and worthwhile as you can. You really should be reading Batwoman already, but if you're not, go out and buy this issue. Marguerite Bennett's style for narrative is a truly amazing gift, and the level of thoughtfulness she brings to the Batwoman character is unmatched. Read Full Review

Bennett wraps this all up wonderfully. The art works beautifully with it as well. The last image of the book is one of hope. I know Kate Kane will be back (she's getting her own tv series!) but this issue has a beautiful ending. It's a perfect coda for this 18 issue series. Read Full Review

This is a gorgeous, character-driven issue that I wish didn't have to end " and will hopefully get a high-profile relaunch next year when the character heads to TV. Read Full Review

It's a touching tribute to this character, and the journey she's embarked on over the last 18 issues. Even if you haven't read any of the series to this point, this book is worth picking up. As intended, you will put it down with more joy in your soul than when you first opened it. Read Full Review

Appropriately, Batwoman #18 is an issue of varied quality to close out a hit-and-miss series. However, if you've been reading throughout Rebirth and you love Kate Kane, I'd definitely recommend picking it up. Read Full Review

Batwoman comes to an end and it was actually on a high note. This series has been a chore if I'm being honest but at least we end with a storyline that I actually could care about. The art is great and I love seeing Kate and Renee interacting again. I'm happy where we ending and I'm glad that this run has officially ended. Hopefully we will get another Batwoman book in the future and hopefully it will be much more entertaining. Read Full Review

There is a problem with Batwoman that people, including those at DC never talk about. Its nothing to do with her being a girl or a lesbian or the fact that the hair is a wig. The best stories that feature Batwoman were arguably, the Greg Rucka and J. H. Willaims III run from Detective Comics and the series written by J.H. Williams III, who supplied the art along with Amy Reeder Hadely and co writer W. Haden Blackman. The loss of these creators helped to actually push back Batwoman's cause, essentially rendering her just another hero. I am sure that as the CW show gets closer, we will see yet another restart for a character that seems to get short change from her publishers. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - Paul Shanly

Its weird to argue that a comic book would have been better served to have the main characters go for a coffee instead of punch a supervillain, but I think it would have served what I think the creators wanted to accomplish better than what is presented here. That being said, I think that this series ends with Batwoman and her world at a good place. With a TV series on the horizon, we have certainly not seen the last of Kate Kane. Read Full Review

One thing I do appreciate about Batwoman is that she is not a super-cop likeBatman. Shes a soldier, and thinks and acts like one. It perhaps gives her anedge Batman lacks. That may make her flawed as a character, but I dont mindthat. Read Full Review
