May 30, 2018To be honest, this prelude is a MUST read for any Belina (Bruce and Selina) fans out there who are just as hype about the wedding as I have been for who knows how long at this point. While the 4th of July and the release of Batman #50 still seems far away, this series combined with the regular publication adds both excitement and nervousness about the big day for the Bat and the Cat. From the normal beginning to the outrageous (but not THAT surprising) to be continued last page, Batmans prelude to the wedding is a rollercoaster everyone is tall enough to ride. Read Full Review

May 30, 2018The march towards the wedding of Batman and Catwoman continues, and Batman Prelude to the Wedding #1 Robin vs. Ra's al Ghul is perhaps one of the best moments of that march. Read Full Review

May 30, 2018In all honesty, I was worried these various build-ups to the wedding were going to be some cheap cash-in on a major Batman event. If they stay at this quality I'll happily and excitedly await the next few chapters and embrace these various confrontations. Read Full Review

May 30, 2018Overall, this issue was very good. It was quite nice to see such a brazen character be brought back to an area that is actually relatable to the fanbase. The art was exceptionally complimentary to the thought provoking writing, I am elated to see what this and the wedding will hold not only for Damien Wayne, but the entirety of the Batfamily. This issue certainly gets the deep story cogs turning. Read Full Review

May 30, 2018Robin vs. Ra's al Ghulis a nice start to the Wedding Batman story arc. We get to see how all of this is affecting Damian, and he faces down a member of the extended family who has a stake in this wedding too. The art is solid to boot, and this comic earns a recommendation. Give it a read. Read Full Review

May 30, 2018There is a lot to digest in Batman Prelude to the Wedding Robin vs Ras Al Ghul #1, but the development in the issues pages will leave speculators happy. Most of it feels more like the opening trailer to demonstrate that once Bat-Cat union happens there is going to be a lot more than Happy Ever After with Bruce and Damian. Wednesday warriors will want to pick this one up also keeping in mind that the five covers will connect to make on image. Read Full Review

May 30, 2018These one-shot specials can easily be a boring cash-grab. Fortunately, Seeley infuses Damian's story with drama and action to create a nuanced look at Damian Wayne and his feelings about the Bat-wedding. While the art is spotty in some instances and Ra's role was compulsory, the issue still was a great Damian character piece. Read Full Review

Jul 17, 2018Batman: Prelude to the Wedding: Robin vs. R'as Al Ghul has two terrific stories at its core; but it does seem like the wrong one was picked up as the "main story"the 'B-story' featuring Selina nad Damian should have been the focal point. Other than that; this book felt right at home with any other "Bat" story. Read Full Review

May 30, 2018Tim Seeley gives us a prelude to the wedding that felt more like a Damian Wayne primer. I guess it's needed since Tom King has done absolutely nothing in his run with Damian and call me crazy, but with the wedding approaching, it seems kind of necessary to know a little bit about Bruce's son. Seeley does provide some nice moments with Damian and Selina, but even with good art from Brad Walker, I can only recommend this to anyone who knows nothing at all about Damian. Read Full Review

May 30, 2018Books like this are meant to be character pieces, with a clear build to the big event of Batman #50 where the Joker looks to be getting ready to do something horrible. While I can appreciate some of the ideas that this book wants to play with, I just don't feel they are conveyed or executed well. Read Full Review
