It's a fresh story in the world of Batman that gives you all of the elements of the Dark Knight but gives a fresh new perspective with new characters and stories. Ghost-Maker has always been an interesting character as he allows writers to show what Batman would be like if he was a sociopath. Brisson takes that one step further with Batman Incorporated #3, showing how he had a sidekick and how that went terribly wrong because he's, well, not Batman. After two months of pomp and no circumstance, this issue of Batman Incorporated finally starts to have things click together, taking the book from a casual Gotham City offshoot into something more compelling. Read Full Review

This issue of Batman Incorporated is the weakest by far. The framing device involves the antagonist telling a very unsympathetic sob story to a captive, while our heroes try and fail at defending themselves and others. Readers can easily agree with the villain that Ghost-Maker is a problem by his actions in this issue alone. The team are several steps behind whatever is going on and they really want to tap out and call Batman. This book should do a better job at making the team feel as if they can do what Batman expects of them. It is still a fun book with a large looming scale and decent layout, but the story itself is failing to hook me in now that the mystery is over. Read Full Review

Phantom One is an interesting take on Batman/Robin dynamic and I want this story to stick with that. Other Brisson's OCs are very dull.

The majority of this book was pretty good, but the rest of the team's stories just hold this back a bit for me. I really wish this could be a Ghost-Maker book and not Batman Incorporated. Everything was done well, but then we get a cut to the other teams for a page each. Phantom One is already an interesting character by almost bringing a new perspective on the dynamic between Batman and Robin. All in all, the main story continues to be pretty good, while everything else is a little lacking for me.
