An outstanding debut issue. Rafael Gramp has presented a truly gritty, psychological new gothic take on The Dark Knight that is worthy of a Batman Day launch. This series has Eisner Award-winner written all over it from the outset. Read Full Review

    The Comicbook Dispatch - Dispatchdcu

I went into Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #1 excited for a new Batman story but left extremely underwhelmed with the story while simultaneously being a bit overwhelmed with the illustrations. Weird Science - Jim Werner

    Sep 13, 2023

Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #1 is a convoluted start to a story with some cool concepts, but it needs tightening up going forward.  Whether you like this book or not is going to hinge mainly on if you like Rafael Grampa's art, and personally, nothing in this first issue wowed me.  Hopefully, things improve in the next three issues, but this #1 was a big disappointment for me.
