Batman and the Outsiders #7

This is the type of issue I've been waiting for.  Great, over the top action that uses the character work that came before it to make it that much better.  The art by Cian Tormey is perfect for the crazy action going on and I am so happy that I can recommend this issue! Read Full Review

Batman and the Outsiders #7kicks off a new story arc while continuing to build on threads from previous issues, even if the Dark Knight himself is mostly absent from the title. Hill taking a slow-burn approach with the plot allows the readers to stay invested in the characters and is a great way to further develop them, especially with Duke. Time will tell if the Signal continues to shine bright or if he succumbs to the will of Ra's al Ghul. Read Full Review

I've seen some people refer to Batman & the Outsiders as a slow burn. I don't think it's that at all. I think, more than anything, Hill needed to get editors out of his way, and he just needed a few issues to really find his footing. At this point, he's done that and then some! Batman & the Outsiders #7 is a stellar issue that delivers on plot progression, characterization, and throws in a surprising twist as well! I don't know where Hill plans on taking this book, but I know I'll be along for the ride because the title deserves your time and attention. Read Full Review

Prelude: Though the annual was an improvement, Batman and the Outsiders has been dipping recently in quality. Let's see how this issue goes. The Good: Orphan was badass here. It all falls apart for our team. Some interesting developments. The Bad: Some twists don't make any lick of sense. Art is a bit house style. Conclusion: It's an improvement over last issue for sure. The story is progressing and everything is falling apart.
