This is a great issue. Mairghread Scott presents a trio of new villains with awesome designs and fun personalities. I like their dynamic a lot. I like that Babs' frustration with her father and the mindset that puts her in. The art is solid and overall, the issue is very enjoyable. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

The latest issue of Batgirl is the opening of a three-part story Scott is calling Terrible. The three-part story is off to an engaging beginning featuring a compelling combination of decent writing, decent art and a very precisely-balanced amount of stylish weirdness. The quality of Babs adventures appears to be looking up for the next couple of issues. Read Full Review

This is the first part of what promises to be a three-part tale of corruption and greed. The underworld is trying to manipulate the political structure of Gotham city and Batgirl is the only one standing in their way. She on the trail of the ones who have been threatening the congresswoman, but at what cost? She winds up in a tight predicament that looks...to be continued. Read Full Review

I don't think this is the best issue of the run, and the ongoing Jason Bard subplot doesn't do much for me, but it's an intriguing mix of elements setting up a strong finale. Read Full Review

This is a vast improvement over previous issues. The art is still lacking a bit, but until Pelletier is off the book, it's just going to feel that way for me. But this again, is much stronger than previous issues. Let's see what happens from here. Read Full Review

Word Of The Nerd - Brent Jackson

Batgirl #34 is a solid issue and a pretty good jumping-on point for new readers. I like the plot and storytelling, though some of the internal dialogue may need a little work. The art, for the most part, is stellar as well; a few minor facial expression details, though. Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Reggie Hemingway

Adecent story, mindful of recent events, that drags a little bit in the thirdact. It's very cool to see one member of the Bat-Family doing detective work, and not just stumbling around like a clod. The issue ends on a good cliffhanger,so I'm hoping the next issue is more explosive. A fun, well-paced introduction to the new story, albeit interspersed with some dull subplots. In the safe hands of Scott and Pelletier, Batgirl is a good, consistent series; not always surprising but never frustrating. Read Full Review
