Overall, another very good installment starring everyone's favorite Hellboy supporting character. The battle with the Priest is amazingly done, and is packed with some great art and storytelling. I am very eager to see where our protagonist goes from here. Read Full Review

I'm still loving the writing and art in these books though after 3 issues I'm starting to get a little impatient. The action and dialogue are great but I'm hoping in issue 4 we'll finally get at least one answer to any of the ongoing questions on Abe and the world that he lives in. Read Full Review

While the story could have focused a little bit more on its main character in its presentation, the actual plot and the art are just out of this world. What this team has given us is a title that will no doubt stand up on its own and I cannot wait to see where this is going. Read Full Review

The hints dropped at the end of this issue are almost too much to bear. Waiting another month for the follow up of this series is going to be tough. Theres so much in the Mignolaverse, even with just the B.P.R.D. series that its hard to say if somebody with no prior knowledge with understand it. At the very least its an exciting issue and should undoubtedly make any new reader want to go back and connect the dots. Month in and month out, you cant go wrong with anything that has Mike Mignolas name on it. The people he works with always do a phenomenal job and the stories are always insane, deep and some of the best in all of comics. Next time youre at your local comic shop, check them out. This particular arc, though promising in the fringe elements it has added to the story, is still relatively disappointing. Mostly because it acts as a filler. The main storyline is essentially Abe's passage and how things change around him in his wake. Almost seems like an exercise in highlighting the fact that Abe is indeed one of the chief points on which this worlds' story stands. Kinda redundant at this point. If this is your first issue, then come back next month. Usually I find that the Mignolaverse titles manage to have continuously great jumping on points for new readers, but that didn’t happen here. It’s a good issue, but you’ll be lost for sure if this is your first. I’m glad that this arc of the series has ended and I’m looking forward to Abe’s self-discovery beginning. It’s interesting because Hellboy is discovering this about himself on his own as well making the two journeys interesting. I wonder if they’ll share any parallel’s in the future. Read Full Review

. . $3.50, 22pgs. Creepy cover. ALL ADs @ BACK! Third issue and final act to the first arc of Abe's own series! A good arc which started slow, but blows up in this issue. Monsters, transformations, and heretical threats of the coming world, I'm happy to see Scott Allie's work here, and i hope he stays continues to write this on-going series. I think i trust him with this next stage in 'ol Abe's story. As always, its wonderful to see the work of Dave Stewart. While the art has moved to something quite far from Mignola's style and template, i do enjoy the art here by the Fiumaras.
