Mar 24, 2020The biggest compliment I can give Once and Future #7 is that in the midst of all the terror and uncertainty in the world right now, it was the best escapism Ive had since this all began. Read Full Review

Horror DNA - James Ferguson
Apr 10, 2020The final pages of Once & Future #7 redefine the comic. You might have thought you knew where it was going next, but writer Kieron Gillen pulls a wild twist that completely changes the game. Once & Future was already a solid action horror title. This chapter greatly expands its size and scope and I'm eager to see how this all plays out. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - David Harth
Mar 26, 2020Once And Future #7 continues the story, catching readers up with what happened in the interim in the most efficient way possible. In the first six issues, Gillen had to introduce the world of the book. Here, he trusts that readers know enough to give them the barest exposition before setting the story loose. Dan Mora and Tamra Bonvillain knock it out of the art again, making sure that this book is still one of the best looking ones on the stands. With the surprising resurrection at the end, it will be fun to see where the book goes next. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Nicolas Duncan
Apr 07, 2020Dark and gruesome; thats where the talent of Dan Mora and Tamra Bonvillain visual rhythm enhances Gillens smooth pacing. Mora capitalizes on his artistic strengths as he demonstrates with small details and differences on each character with such intense emotions. More and the coloring by Bonvillain nailed their talent in each panel from the first page to the last. My absolute favorite is how the art and colors splatters as the freshly risen Beowulf makes a forceful statement that makes me melt! Read Full Review

Razorfine - Alan Rapp
Apr 08, 2020The comic doesn't name the mysterious figure working the shadows causing more chaos in the world. Is this a familiar face from Arthurian legend, or an unexpected addition like Beowulf? For that, we'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, I'm glad to see Duncan's journey is far from complete and there are more stories to be told. Read Full Review
