Curb Stomp #2

So far this book has gotten better with every issuenot that after 2 issues thats a reasonable track record, but the way it is developing is engaging with the overall story and as a monthly serial narrative. Sometimes we pick up books, month after month, because we need to see what happens next, but we leave with an unsatisfying amount of narrative and another cliffhanger. Curb Stomp bridges the gap between satisfying narrative arc and satisfying single issues, and the future of the series looks brighter than its neon covers. Read Full Review

Curb Stomp is great; that's really the long and the short of it. Its an awesome exploration of exploitation type films with a group of women as the lead. There is no over sexualization and the story benefits so much for it. The characters are all painted in broad strokes with some cliches to them, but its to forward the story rather than serve as a crutch for it. With clean punchy lines, beautiful artwork that lends itself to the writing and it all works together to create a great product. Why are you still reading this? Go pick it up. Read Full Review

The storyline is nice. The women of Old Beach are trying to protect their small piece of land from the two gangs who surround the city. The events start right after the first issue. Dumbstruck and angry at the events that took place beforehand, The Fever now have to counterattack. All seems fair until someone spills the T on their plans. The only major gripe I have with this comic is that art. Sometimes it looks like no effort is done to differentiate the girls. But over all a solid read.
