2021: LOST CHILDREN #1 uses great world building and the building of relationships to tell us about the plot and characters. We also see contrast through detail, and coloring that makes the comic real for readers.

BLACK MAGICK #11 shows great use of creative craft. The story is intriguing with a plot that results in characterization. With dynamic illustration, and symbolic and catching coloring, the art is stunning. This makes BLACK MAGICK #11 well worth the read.

BLACK PANTHER #1 is definitely worth your time. It has excellent world-building that develops both the plot and the characters. Daniel Acua's art is very telling of the tone of the comic. Overall, it's a great read!

Though this mini-series has an interesting premise and beautiful art, it's not the best-executed, with characterization problems plaguing it throughout.

In PERMANENT PRESS, Luke Healy weaves three stories into one. The plot tells us about the characters. The art tells these stories so that we are left laughing, and then crying.

DEATH OR GLORY #1 has a gripping plot, and strong characters. The art is very vintage looking. The coloring adds to the excitement of the comic. A must read!

A young girl discovers her strange abilities. She is labeled a witch when forced to reveal them. She faces many dangers as being labeled a witch, but she fights back against this fate the label might mean.

HACK/SLASH RESURRECTION #7 is an exciting issue with a plot full of surprises and charcters that make the comic worth reading. The art matches the dynamic nature of the characters, and the coloring sets the mood of the issue.

HUNT FOR WOLVERINE THE CLAWS OF A KILLER #1 has an action packed and gripping story from Mariko Takami, and the art and coloring by Butch Guice and Dan Brown help convey the tone. Though the characterization falls a little flat, it's overall a great start to a story arc.

LABYRINTH: CORONATION #2 brings a lot to the table. Foreshadowing makes readers want to see what's next, and the dialogue of one goblin leaves readers with a new take on all of them. Illustrious detail makes the goblins grotesque and the humans appealing. The vibrancy of the color palette catches the reader's eye. In the end, it's worth your read.

LABYRINTH: CORONATION #4 is a strong addition to the series. The dialogue tells readers about the characters as well as furthers the plot. The detail in the art reflects the detail of the labyrinth itself, and the coloring sets the mood for the comic.

MOONSTRUCK #6 is a great continuation to the series! The plot builds up the world the characters live in as well as the characters themselves. The art features telling character designs and fitting coloring. MOONSTRUCK #6 is definitely worth it!

The danger and action really come to life in this issue. The use of art creates excitement and suspense for the reader. The characterization makes us really root for these characters and worry for their safety.

Wilson gives us a Ms. Marvel full of humanity, through encouragement from Naftali. Nico Leon and Ian Herring work together to give us a very serious issue, without losing MS MARVEL's sense of humor.

MS MARVEL #29 showcases the narration as furthering the plot, and the dialogue as fleshing out characters. The illustration has very clean and intentional detail. The coloring grounds the reader through the down to earth feeling it creates. Overall it's a strong addition to the series.

MS. MARVEL #30 shows order amongst chaos with parallels drawn in the plot and the disorder used to reveal more about characters. The art tells us a lot about characters as well, with coloring that helps to set the tone for the issue.

STAR WARS THE LAST JEDI DJ: MOST WANTED #1 is a captivating look at Canto Bight and the codebreaker from the Last Jedi film. An immersive experience awaits with adventure and aliens. The art and writing will leave you wanting more!

The writing is insightful enough to help us learn about the characters. The art is diverse in appearance and entertaining. TALES OF SUSPENSE #101 is definitely worth reading.

TALES OF SUSPENSE #102 is a thrill ride. The plot points are exciting and lie in the little details. The details also create excellent space for characterization. The illustrations bring the characters to life, and the coloring pulls the reader in.

Black Widow's return allows for a whole new plot to develop with her intelligence on full display. In addition, the illustrations create a sense of realism while the use of gradient in the coloring is eerie and evokes unease from the reader. Overall, this is a great read.

TALES OF SUSPENSE #104 is action-packed and chaotic, and it works. The writing embodies the action and chaos, as does the illustration. The coloring presents the serious tone of the comic.

SQUIRREL GIRL #29 is full of action! With the Silver Surfer fight and a galactic armada showing up, it's one thing after another. The plot conveys plenty of action and emotion, the characters come to life through relatable dialogue and the strength of their friendships, and the art brings the perfect amount of detail.

UNBEATABLE SQUIRREL GIRL #32 is a comic full of fun times with good friends! Ryan North gives us a better look at Doreen Green. Derek Charm and Rico Renzi create a fun and simplistic tone for the issue. This comic is a great addition to the series!

The dialogue in TINSEL TOWN #1 does a lot of work both for plot and characterization. The illustrations and coloring go to add on to the characterization of the comic. TINSEL TOWN #1 is a must read!
