New stories told in the framework of older, familiar settings and characters push forward the Eternals legacy while honoring the past. The question of "Where are the rest of the Eternals?" did pester me enough to consider it a good, not great comic.

Fantastic Four #8 is an action-packed reintroduction to one of the darker facets of the Fantastic Four, all but ensuring an exciting match-up between the Invisible Woman and the Invincible Woman.

If #7 was a reset, #8 was a full-tilt reminder of the cost of willful ignorance and complacency. With more questions raised and few answers given, Absolute Martian Manhunter continues to be the most compelling and complex book of the Absolute line.
