SKINBREAKER #2 brings the axe down on sophomore slumps, driving its story as hard as its namesake weapon. It's an unflinching blend of grit, sorrow, and barbed ambitionthe kind that leaves a mark, even if you're just turning the pages. Read Full Review
This book is something special. Kirkman and Finch really are true masters of their craft. The emotion and action both ooze off the page and crawl into the deepest parts of your brain and your heart. This book is more like an experience and a journey than a comic book. Read Full Review
Skinbreaker #2 is an overall beautiful book, both in the storytelling and the artwork. If you are a fan of a good story and gorgeous art, but are questioning whether this fits into your usual type of comic, give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Have fun, comic lovers! Despite those minor quibbles, Skinbreaker #2 is a phenomenal entry in the series. My recommendation: If you picked up the first issue of Skinbreaker back in September, then issue #2 will make a nice addition to your collection. Read Full Review
I expected to see a continuation of the excellence of issue 1. What I didn't expect was another twist. I haven't the slightest idea where this epic story is heading next, and I love it.
I didn't think this was quite as good as the first issue, but I still liked it quite a bit. I thought the double-page spread of Anon's face was a little odd...but, then I turned the page and really enjoyed it. Not where I was thinking this was going to go, but I'm definitely still interested. It seems like this is going to be a story about change and the difficulties of implementing it within society, which I do think can be a strong concept if executed well. So far, so good.
The first half of the comic had a pretty cool dramatic moment, but you kind of saw it coming a mile away. The second half was literally the same thing that happened in the first comic. I don't know, Kirkman is kind of overrated.
